Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you just edit/critique manuscripts or can you work on other texts? A: No, I'm not just limited to manuscripts. Most of my work is done on manuscript projects, but I can also edit and proofread a multitude of texts from children's books, educational essays, technical reports, marketing material, website articles, blogs, etc.

Q: Do you offer ghostwriting? A: Currently, I do not do any ghostwriting. Any writing that I do for clients is part of the editing process of an already completed project.

Q: Do you offer any payment plans? A: All of my services are set up with scheduled payments at booking.

Q: Do you work on non-fiction manuscripts as well? A: Yes! However, since non-fiction editing requires more fact-checking, your investment amount may adjust to accommodate the extra editing time.

Q: Can I book proofreading services without any other editing service? A: It's completely up to you what services you book with me; but I strongly suggest a copyedit before a proofread. Proofreading will only ensure your project is free from typos, punctuation errors, and formatting mistakes. A copyedit will dive deeper to correct inconsistencies, improve readability and clarity, identify and maintain tone, and so much more. Proofreading without a copyedit is essentially like buffing a dirty car—it's pointless without cleaning it up first.

Q: Do you publish books? A: No, I do not publish anything. I am the step between writing and publishing! Whether you plan to send your manuscript to a literary agency/publisher or self-publish, I can polish your work to a professional level and help your story stand out.
